NFCHC FRESH FOOD BOX: Enjoy fresh fruits & vegetables without the hassle of going to the grocery store. Orders are taken the first two weeks of the month, $20 for a box. Pick-up at NFCHC on the 3rd Wednesday after 2 pm. Call A.J for details ext 233.
GENTLE FIT: Join us for 45 minutes of light exercise, and a lot of fun! Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 - 1:45 pm and Wednesdays from 11:00 - 11:45am. No registration required and everyone is welcome. Good for all fitness levels.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE CLINIC: Do you need help getting your Canadian birth certificate? Drop in and see us Tuesdays between 1-3 pm. Appointments are first come first served.
COFFEE CLUB: Join us for a cup of coffee, light snack and good conversation Mondays 2:00-3:00pm. There is no rgistration required, everyone is welcome!
STOP PROGRAM: Are you thinking about quitting smoking? Ask about our STOP Program, where we can provide you with various tips and strategies, peer support, and 26 weeks of Nicotine Replacement Therapy. For registered patients or clients enrolled in the COPD Program only. Call AJ at Ext. 233 to learn more and to schedule your intake appointment.
BEAUTIFUL MESS: Come and explore your creative side while enjoying good company at our one day spring-themed arts and crafts program. No cost, all supplies and lunch are provided. NFCHC COOKING SERIES: Build confidence in the kitchen by learning basic cooking techniques and delicious recipes alongside our Dietitian. Sessions will take place from 11:30am-1:30pm on July 26 and August 23th. Space is limited so please call Caitlin at Ext. 289 to register.
CHRONIC DISEASE SELF MANAGEMENT: Join our 6 week program that will teach you various techniques to help manage your chronic disease. Tuesday afternoons from 1:30-4:00pm starting July 10th. Call Laura at Ext. 293 to register.
WALK 4 WELLNESS: Join our walking group as we collectively attempt to walk as many steps as it would take to reach the Statue of Liberty in New York City. Friday mornings from 9:00-10:00am. Meet us at the park next to City Hall. For more information call Laura C at Ext. 293.
LGBTQ+ SOCIAL GROUP: A safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community (19+) and their allies to socialize together and enjoy a light snack. Drop in, no registration required. Every other Thursday starting June 7th, from 10:30-11:30am. For more information call Lisa at Ext. 245.
ART JOURNALING: Come learn various art techniques and creat pages that express your thoughts and feelings. The program is free and all materials are provided. Contact Christine at Ext. 285 to register.
CARING FOR MY COPD: This 10 week group is for people who have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including those recently hospitalized due to COPD. Consider this FREE community based program to help you gain control of your COPD. For details or to register call Amanda at Ext. 237.
MINDFULNESS WITHOUT BORDERS: This 4 week program will teach you self awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making and more! Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00am starting August 8th. For more information or to register call Lisa at Ext. 245.
